Researcher | Environmentalist | Public Speaker

George Cheng is a researcher, environmentalist, and innovator who uses “STEM for Humanity” to uplift vulnerable communities.

Through his research at North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, and Harvard Medical School, he has published 5 papers and completed 8 projects ranging from waterborne pathogens to microRNA delivery.

A World Science Scholar, he has been recognized by Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS), United States Stockholm Junior Water Prize, and International BioGENEius Institute.

An athlete, George is a Heisman High School Scholarship National Winner and plays 3 varsity sports.

As an Eagle Scout, George is currently tackling socioeconomic issues through his nonprofits and has raised $150,000 for homeless artists, cancer patients, and Title I schools.

An Earth Prize Winner and recipient of the Explorers Grant, George is also tackling climate change and water accessibility through collaborations with Water Environment Federation (WEF), TacoBell, and Wolfram.

George will pursue Biotechnology & Computer Science in college.
